Color and Web accessibility

The MSU Web Accessibility Policy Interim Technical Guidelines consider color use at two checkpoints.

1. Ensure that all information conveyed with color is also available without color, for example, from context or markup. (Required)
2. There should be sufficient contrast between foreground and background colors on a page. Individuals with visual disabilities may have difficulty distinguishing text when the background and foreground colors are too much alike. (Recommended)
